Raleigh police were investigating two separate shootings Thursday morning.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police were investigating two separate shootings Thursday morning.

The first happened around 12:45 a.m. at 519 S. Swain St. Two men walking down the street ran in to a group of men and a fight broke out, police said.

One man was shot in the hip. He was expected to survive, police said.

The second shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. at a BP gas station at 3616 Poole Road.

A BP employee told police that he was sitting in a car at the station when a man walked up to him and shot him in the neck near his shoulder. He was expected to survive, police said.

Officers were searching for the shooters. No other information was released.
