Man, 52, charged in fatal Raleigh stabbing

— A 52-year-old Raleigh man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing that happened Monday night on Kent Road. 

According to investigators, Michael Ray Evans, of 1323-C Kent Road, stabbed Jermaine Johnson at about 8 p.m. Johnson, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident.

Evans was charged with murder in Johnson's death, and he was in the Wake County jail early Tuesday. 

No other information about the incident has been released, but neighbors told WRAL there was an argument before the stabbing.

    Sure he might have missed. He might have missed and hit the innocent child across the street like happens all too frequently.

    Maybe none at all would have been killed. Might have missed with a gun. Might not have hit a vital area. Just the mere sight of a gun might have sent Jermaine running. And who knows, this might turn out to be a case of self-defense.
