RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police were investigating a fatal shooting.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a shooting in the 1300 block of Walnut Street. A man with gunshot wounds was found behind a residence.

Derrick Dangelo Swinson, 23, was transported to WakeMed, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
