— Raleigh police say a driver was arguing with a passenger Friday evening before he crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 40 East at Wade Avenue, temporarily closing part of the highway.

The driver jumped out of the vehicle and ran, police said. Officers are searching for the man, whose name was not released.

The crash happened at about 7:15 p.m. Police could not say whether the crash was accidental or intentional. Minor injuries were reported.

Why are they searching for the man who ran? He wasn't driving, just arguing.

Story says it happened "Friday" night, but it happened last night, Wednesday New Years Day. And, it also says the "driver" ran. So there are maybe some pieces of missing information.
