RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh Chief of Police Harry Dolan released a statement Tuesday afternoon, a day after his adult daughter was cited for a fight.

Lauren K. Dolan, 25, faces three charges of simple assault and another woman, Emily S. Brune, 23, faces one count of assault in the same incident, police said.

Officers were called to the 4000 block of Bella Park Trail just after 9 p.m. Monday.

“Yesterday afternoon, my adult daughter became intoxicated and was involved in an altercation," Chief Dolan said. "She must now confront the resulting charges. We are working as a family to get my daughter the help she needs.”
