Raleigh police: Bank robber walked with cane, had arm in sling

According to police, the suspect demanded cash and fled after a teller complied with his demands. He then got into an SUV and drove west on Brier Creek Parkway.

— Raleigh police are investigating a bank robbery that happened Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a robbery just before 10:40 a.m. at the First Citizens Bank at 10201 Little Brier Creek Lane.

According to police, a man demanded cash and fled after a teller complied with his demands. He then got into an brown SUV and drove west on Brier Creek Parkway.

The robber is described as a heavyset white man wearing a Washington Nationals baseball cap who walked with a cane and had his arm in a sling.

Anybody with information about the incident is asked to call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357.

    Looks a lot like the guy the FBI is looking for in the other story. The one that has been on a bank robbery spree.

    I know that there is probably some kind of company policy but......seriously!!!! Of course he was apparently a Washington Nationals fan which does show that he was a desperate character.
