Husband-and-wife team Blake and Carol Langdon have opened Kinderstil, an online seller of children's gifts and apparel.

According to a press release, Kinderstil carries a wide selection of toys, clothing and blankets. Items are organic and free of flame retardants, chemicals and other toxins that are often found in other children's and baby products on the market. The Raleigh couple also works to carry American-made products whenever possible.

According to the release, the Langdons married in 2009. The couple decided to launch the boutique and sell products they'd be confident to give their own child, who was born this year.

“Since having my son, I’ve realized how many baby products contain chemicals that have not been sufficiently studied,” said Carol Langdon in the release. “I started researching companies that produce organic products and I wanted to pass this on to other parents. When a parent buys something from Kinderstil, they can be confident that it’s safe. This is important because as I now know, whatever you give your baby, they’re going to put it right in their mouth.”

Kinderstil translates to "kids style" in German.

Personalization is available on most items and all embroidery is done in house. Blake Langdon's family has been in the embroidery business since 2000.

Check the website to see what they offer. I hope to have more about their plans in the future.
