— A Raleigh charter school might have to look elsewhere if it wants to expand.

Exploris Charter Middle School wanted to lease a vacant Salvation Army building on Person Street so it could add elementary grades, but a Raleigh City Council committee on Tuesday recommended not moving ahead with the plan. The panel cited development and environmental concerns.

The full council, which has already committed to using a portion of the Salvation Army property as a feeding station for the needy, will discuss the issue March 4.

"The panel cited development and environmental concerns." Come on you had to use that excuse!! You are afraid the children will learn the truth and replace all of the liberals with conservatives. It's all about keeping the children dumbed down to control their future.
