Clayton, N.C. — A Raleigh police officer was charged with driving while impaired during a Tuesday traffic stop in Clayton, police said Friday.
Michael Joseph Keon, 37, was also charged with speeding when he was pulled over on Covered Bridge Road, police said.
Keon has been with the Raleigh Police Department for more than 12 years and is assigned to the Field Operations Division. Department spokesman Jim Sughrue said Keon hasn't been suspended because of his arrest.
