I don't even care what her excuse is or was. She is unfit to be a mother and hopefully she will not retain custody. How absolutely unbelievable that she would abandon her baby.

When is the child abuse going to stop?! These stories are so heartbreaking. I hope this child (and her other children) find some stability soon.

2beach4u - I agree. We have to take a class and pass a test and go back every few years to get a license, but we can actually create other human lives to screw up with absolutely no training and no one to answer to.

People should have to be granted to have children. There should be a board that you have to go before and be granted to have children. You should have to be married and be very stable in life with lots of proof. You should be able to support the child with no help from the state. If you can't pass this criteria, you should not be able to have a child. It's terrible that I have to feel like this but people are constantly abusing children, leaving them home alone, etc. These poor children don't ask for this and surely don't deserve it. May God bless them and continue to watch over them.

I would say that any reason is not a good excuse to leave your very young child at home alone... but I would like to know what her excuse was?

I think her other 3 children are with her mother. DSS has investigated her for this child too. I don't know how she still has him.

why are we doing this stuff to our babies and children? if you cant take the responsibilty of being a protective and loving parent mother or father is doenst matter, give the child to somebody that will not harm them and provide a safe and loving home for them. i have a 3 yr old and couldnt imagine ever doing anything like this, the only thing i can imagine is how to love him and what i can do for him to grow up a decent and respectful man. take these kids away from the danger and give these parents real time and not just a pat on the you know what!!

She should have never left a child alone in the house for 4 hours at 2yrs of age. However, I'm curious how they found out...was she arrested? turned in by a neighbor, friend or family member? Hope her child finds a stable, secure home soon.

Lori has at least 2 other kids....I wonder where the girls were? With their dad? Doubtful, but maybe.
