Raleigh mom accused of doing drugs around child
A Raleigh woman was arrested early Friday on charges that she had her 3-year-old child in a car where drugs were being used and sold, according to arrest warrants issued by Raleigh police.

Natasha Renee Davis, 21, of 6156 Saint Giles St. Apt. D, faces charges of felony possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor child abuse.
Cherise Lenee Simmons, 24, of the same address, was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell or distribute, maintaining a vehicle for the purpose of keeping and selling cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Warrants state that Davis had her 3-year-old in a 1996 Cadillac Eldorado where marijuana was being kept and cocaine was being sold. The custody status of the child wasn't clear.
Both suspects were placed in the Wake County jail. Davis was given a $6,000 secured bond, and Simmons an $11,000 secured bond.
Simmons has two prior convictions for possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substances dating from 2007, according to state Department of Correction records.
