— Two Raleigh men have been arrested on counterfeit charges after Cary police say they tried to buy cosmetics from a local department store.

Cortland Pierre Gore, 25, of 449 Grissom St., and Aaron Lee Campbell, 40, whose address wasn't available, were arrested Friday evening on charges of possession of a counterfeit instrument and felony conspiracy. Campbell was also charged with attempted obtaining property by false pretense.

Arrest warrants allege that the men had multiple counterfeit bills and tried to make a purchase at the cosmetics counter of Macy's.

Gore was being held Sunday at the Wake County Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond on the counterfeit charge and was being held without bond on the conspiracy charge.

Campbell was jailed under a $75,000 secured bond on the counterfeit charge and no bond on the other charges.

Lock them up and see if they can work on the chain gang. No funny money there. It's really a shame how many crooks are crawling out of the woodwork!

One probably had more priors than the other, hence the higher bond.

If these guys have the same charges, why do they have different bonds? Also why was they able to get one address and not the other.
