Oh yeah, he will be back ...the system has taught him that he is superman! He is back on the street! And next time, he will be meaner about it. Look out for those maroon cars!

What's the chance he violated her civil rights? Must be something the feds can do! They can do about anything they want given the right circumstances!

Here we go again! Step one of the pattern of rape and/or murder!! When will someone learn? Anytime there is a physical assault on a stranger such as this it needs to be dealt with harshly--the very first time; not a year or so down the road after something serious happens to another innocent victim!! Has he got to register?? I want to support the justice system but this is just plain stupid!!
I remember back some years ago when a hunter shot at and hit a jet approaching RDU! It was their first offense; they got something like 15 or 20 years prison time! I have yet to hear of anyone else firing at a jet at RDU! Lesson taught!!

Probation!?!?...he can prey on people and try to attack but since he's a failure he get's a slap on the wrist.

Thank God the victim got away. Too bad someone with a gun and an itchy trigger finger didn't intervene.

civil law suit...you have to be kidding. Do you really think this thug has money?

  • Tax Man Jul 17, 2007

The victim needs to sue the snot out of this thug - since he plead guilty it would be a slam-dunk civil case. Assault, kidnapping, etc. should be worth a few hundred thousand! She could ask that it be a condition of his probation to pay her the money so if he did not pay it he would have to go to prison.

...posted...."If you all feel that passionate about reforming the justice system, contact your state congressman, they are the ones that set the boundaries on the criminal justice system. While you are at it, mention to them that the justice system is woefully underfunded, and that you can't expect swift, accurate justice when the budget is not kept in line with inflation and a growing population. Every year, more cases are handled by fewer DA's and Judges."

Ha Ha Ha, Hilarious....tell a politician, and give the government more money!! What a ludicrous response.......!! (you were kidding, right?)
