Raleigh man faces drug, child abuse charges

A Raleigh man faces accusations that he sold drugs with a toddler in the backseat of his car, according to arrest warrants.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man faces accusations that he sold drugs with a toddler in the backseat of his car, according to arrest warrants.

Justin Yarborough, 22, of 4108 Pearl Road, was busted by an undercover investigator with the Wake County Sheriff's office, the warrants state.

According to the warrants, Yarborough had a young girl in his car as he tried to make a deal to sell about 7 grams of marijuana.

It’s unclear what his relationship to the girl was.

Yarborough was charged with misdemeanor child abuse, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance and two counts each of possession with intent to sell marijuana, selling marijuana and delivering marijuana.

He was placed in the Wake County jail under a more than $100,000 bond.

Yarborough has convictions for accessory after the fact to armed robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and misdemeanor drug possession, according to state Department of Correction records.
