Raleigh man faces child abuse charges
A Raleigh man is accused of being drunk and passing out while his grandchildren were playing in a nearby swimming pool.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man is accused of being drunk and passing out while his grandchildren were playing in a nearby swimming pool.
Thomas Ray Louis Bass, 47, of 5903 Wolf Glen Court, Apt. 304, faces two counts of misdemeanor child abuse in the June 16 incident, according to an arrest warrant.
Bass was charged on June 1 with being intoxicated and disruptive and resisting a public officer. He pleaded guilty to both of those charges.
