Raleigh man charged with sexual battery

A Raleigh man faces accusations that he broke into a woman's home and sexually assaulted her, according to arrest warrants.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man faces accusations that he broke into a woman's home and sexually assaulted her, according to an arrest warrant.

James Theodis McDougle, 49, of 828 E. Lenoir St., was charged with sexual battery and breaking and entering. He was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 3.

The alleged attack occurred on Sunday, the warrant states.

McDougle has previous convictions of misdemeanor breaking and entering and assault on an officer, among others, according to state Department of Correction records.
