A 59-year-old Raleigh man was charged Wednesday with sexual offenses involving two children.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — A 59-year-old Raleigh man was charged Wednesday with sexual offenses involving two children.

Peter Lewis McGettigan, of 8005 Knebworth Court., is charged with one count of taking indecent liberties with a child and one count of statutory sex offense with a child under 15 years of age.

Authorities said the alleged offenses occurred between January 2015 and December 2015 and involved a 10-year-old girl and 7-year-old girl that McGettigan knew.

McGettigan was being held in the Wake County jail Thursday under a $900,000 secured bond.
