— Police have charged a Raleigh man with secretly taking pictures of women in their underwear at a local Walmart store.

Phillip Allen Pettit, 35, of 10210 Purchase Crossing, Apt. 208, was arrested Monday on eight counts of felony secret peeping. Police said he was using a cell phone to take pictures and record videos of women at the Walmart in the Alexander Place shopping center on Glenwood Avenue.

Eight videos were found on a cell phone seized in the case, and police searched Pettit's home Tuesday to check his computers and any other electronic devices for any other photos or videos, according to a search warrant.

Investigators said Wednesday that there might be more victims and asked that any women who might have encountered Pettit in the store come forward.

So bold behind a computer screen, why not go to the Address WRAL posted and get a better look. Not defending Phillip, but really!! Is that the best any of you can do is to make fun of how someone looks. For all that is known he might have a medical condition or be taking medicine that affects his weight and swelling. For those of you that have left comments about how he looks, you are truly shallow individuals!!

I'm trying to get a better look at his face for identification prupose (maybe he really is the guy I saw), but can't get the picture to fit on my my computer screen. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

I think I saw him peeping multiple times at the Chinese buffet on Capital last month. Pretty sure it's was him. I should have turned him in!

While I don't agree with what he did and find it gross, I do know him and he's really not that bad of a guy. I don't know why he did it, and I don't care to....but all this picking on what he looks like and OMG where he works really does not matter. He is not a total creep, and would NOT take photos of ANY patients. Like I said I don't agree with what he did and I do belive there do need to be consequences, but this really is sad. How many of other people have taken pictures of random people bc of what they were wearing..... guess what??? u just broke 14-202..... think people think.... Just keep it in mind we all have done some stupid stuff.

I saw this guy at another store this summer. I was sure he was taking pictures but was afraid to say anything in case I was wrong. Now I feel terrible.

seriously, this is much less offensive than seeing, (with my own eys, both of them) a well known N.C. Superior Court Judge browsing a local adult book store recently. and YES, i have proof,as i shot video with MY cell phone as i first thought it out of character...but then after some DEEP self introspection, what he does off the bench as a husband and foremost;citizen is really none of my or your concern. discretion is EVERYTHING! and NO you cannot view this clip, it's not for sale at any price so don;t even ask! thats how strongly i feel about personal friendships and ones right to live freely within the parameters of the law.
i've also been a pro. photographer for 21 years and i have a fair amount of clients that i acquired over the years by holding steadfast in my beliefs that one has this right as long as the subject or theme does not infringe upon the rights of others and stays within the parameters of the law. and i can proudly say that i have yet to lose a single client.
