Raleigh man charged with growing hallucinogenic mushrooms

Police charged a Raleigh man Tuesday with manufacturing the hallucinogenic drug psilocybin, otherwise known as "magic mushrooms," according to arrest warrants.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police charged a Raleigh man Tuesday with manufacturing the hallucinogenic drug psilocybin, otherwise known as "magic mushrooms," according to arrest warrants.

Peter Eugene Derosier, 39, of 9336 Tall Grass Road, is charged with maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of storing, selling and manufacturing a controlled substance, manufacturing psilocybin, possession with intent to sell or deliver psilocybin and possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana. 

He was being held in the Wake County jail on a $25,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
