RALEIGH, N.C. — A 33-year-old man turned himself in for allegedly fracturing his infant son's ribs.

Raleigh police started investigating the incident after Craig Mitchell Sopo brought the child, who was eight weeks old at the time, to WakeMed on February 18.

Sopo, of 1428 Hatherleigh Court, was charged with child abuse. His next court date is April 30.

Sopo's LinkedIn account lists him as vice president for underwriting and portfolio management at PNC Financial Services. PNC officials would not confirm Sopo's employment, saying they are unable to comment on personnel matters.
