Raleigh man charged with assault for knife threat

According to the warrant for his arrest, Demetrious Delmenta Johnson, 20, was protecting his brother, whom the store owner accused of shoplifting.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man was jailed Saturday for threatening a shop owner with a knife. 

According to the warrant for his arrest, Demetrious Delmenta Johnson, 20, of 8108-304 Green Lantern St., was protecting his brother, whom the store owner accused of shoplifting. The warrant did not name Johnson's brother.

Johnson was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and held on $30,000 bond.
