Raleigh man charged with animal cruelty

A Raleigh man, with a history of animal cruelty charges, was arrested Saturday after he allegedly mistreated multiple dogs.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man, with a history of animal cruelty charges, was arrested Saturday after he allegedly mistreated multiple dogs. 

Earl Antron Hamilton, 32, of 3806 Potecasi Drive, is accused of depriving an American Staffordshire Terrier of food, water and medical care. Police also said Hamilton tethered four American Staffordshire Terriers for more than three hours in a 24 hour period and did not have current rabies tags attached to the dogs. 

He was being held at the Wake County jail under a $2,000 bond.

According to court records, Hamilton pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty in 2010.
