When I referred to being “called” I meant being called by God to pursue our own passions. Our passions are gifts given to us by God. To say one person’s gift from God is more important than another is thumbing one’s nose at the Giver Himself. We are each called to a different pursue. Proverbs 12:10 says, A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal.

"We are each called to follow our own passion."

We are each called to follow the word of God, which through those teachings, we learn to do the right thing.

To run after your passions, without having a basis of what is right and what is not.... leads to self-serving relative behavior that pits person versus person. The reason why communities are laughed at by many.

Its me again - We are each called to follow our own passion. Our different passions are what allows each issue to be addressed and discussed.

We abort thousands of babies in this country every day.Yet, we overlook these helpless children and are up in arms over a dog.
We can't last much longer as a nation. Dying from within!!

Also, for anyone interested in educating themselves about dogs, you can go to http://www.atts.org/ which is an organization that does temperment testing on dogs. You will find the breeds who are lumped in as Pit Bulls (American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bill Terriers, etc) test about the same as Goldens. Again, only using Goldens as an example, we love them!

atac001- If we ban Pits can we ban your breed of ignorance too!!?? Think before you speak, and if you did I am truly sorry for you.

  • Joe Blow Apr 23, 2008

atac001- aren't you the least bit embarrassed by your ignorance?

    susanbeth- very well said.

atac001 – I would agree with you that most of us defending the various Pit Bull breeds are either owners or breeders. Our family has 4 dogs, a Rottie, a terrier/hound mix and two dogs we rescued that were listed as Lab mixes and as they grew, we realized they were Lab/Pit mixes. But perhaps the reason we are protesting so stongly is that we have experience with the breeds and knowledge about the breeds that you obviously lack. They are only killers if you train them to be or abuse them. Almost any dog will kill if it’s trained to or if it’s abused. Most small dogs are also “killers” as many terriers were breed for small game or rodent extermination. So with that being said, should be ban all dogs? Should all animals that have the potential to take a human life be banned from the Earth? It’s not wise to casually toss around the notion of causing the extinction of any animal.

I truly do not see this one as news worthy. It was a short article. It may have left out some details, but again, I think there are more important things to read about than this one.

you can make A dog bite on command but, to train it to fight other dogs and kill is already enstilled in them
