WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — A 20-year-old Raleigh man is accused of exposing himself to a female student on the main campus of Wake Technical Community College, authorities said.

Chris Sumrell was charged with indecent exposure following the Nov. 1 incident. According to campus police, a student reported that a man she did not know exposed himself to her about 9:14 a.m. Police searched the area but could not find the man.

Five days later, the woman called police to say she saw the man again. He was located and identified as Sumrell. According to the report, he was “immediately trespassed from all Wake Technical Community College property.”

A spokeswoman for the college confirmed Thursday that Sumrell is no longer a student there.

Sumrell was also charged with indecent exposure in March, when he was enrolled as a freshman at William Peace University. Those charges were dropped.

In an email to WRAL at the time, Sumrell called the incident a misunderstanding. He said he was naked while ironing his clothes near an open window in his dorm room, and three passers-by spotted him and called police.

Sumrell was convicted last year for indecent exposure in 2011. Cary police said Sumrell was in his car in a CVS parking lot when he revved his engine to get attention and exposed himself to passing women.
