Raleigh man arrested on peeping charges

Jon Carty Caldwell, 41, was jailed under a $10,000 secure bond Sunday on one count each of installing/using a photo device in a room and possessing photographic images from peeping.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Editor's Note: Jon Caldwell was convicted of three counts of 3rd degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was required to register as a sex offender upon release from prison. Caldwell served about 14 months behind bars.

A Raleigh man was arrested Saturday on charges related to peeping.

Jon Carty Caldwell, 41, was jailed under a $10,000 secure bond Sunday on one count each of installing/using a photo device in a room and possessing photographic images from peeping.

An arrest warrant says the alleged crime happened Dec. 6, but it does not specify any other details, including where it occurred.

Caldwell was expected to make his first court appearance Monday.
