Really? Must we go there? Blaming the 15-year-old victim - she's a child no matter what the circumstances surrounding the crime are. That's absolutely despicable "Dr." Dataclerk. God forbid this should ever happen to a 15-year-old family member of yours!

It is amazing how many forget that our young are aging quicker than they did years ago. She may only be 15, but looks like a young woman. What this guy forgets is that you have to do more than ask age, but you also have to ask for ID. The other thing is, at her age, what about her parents? Why were they not watching her? What about how she was dressed? That does make a big difference.

    15 will get you 20.

So, rape is not absolute? Unless he is sure of her age, it is his responsibiliy to keep his pants zipped.

Obviously no gods or angels stopped this incident. So, no "word" was effective either.

tibbs29--Don't know this guy. If he knew how old she was then throw the book at him. If the girl did lie to him then she is at fault also. I know that in our PC world that people don't want these young girls to take responsiblity but, until they do they are part of the problem. And blanket statements like yours show a lack of understanding for anything outside your small box.

I hear she told him she was 17. But we all know he knew better. He habitually makes bad choices. This one just landed him behind bars. Too bad for his children! They will pay the most for all his bad choices.

I am not sure, but it seems like 500,000 bond is fairly high for a stat rape charge.

Gnathostomata - "It is too confusing for me if you remove the moral convictions that come from The Word." The law is not absolute and I know that this bothers you. However, we are a secular nation that is governed by laws that are not absolute.
