Raleigh man arrested for kicking officers

Police arrested a Raleigh man Saturday after they say he lost control and kicked three officers while he was being processed on a driving while impaired charge at the Wake County jail.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police arrested a Raleigh man Saturday after they say he lost control and kicked three officers while he was being processed on a driving while impaired charge at the Wake County jail.

Brandon Joshua Smith, 26, of 1810-102 Crossroads Vista Drive, was charged with three counts of assault on a government official and one count of damage to government property for allegedly kicking the door of a police cruiser and bending its window frame, according to arrest warrants.

He was given a $15,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 21.
