There are many nightclubs and live music venues that do not have these problems. I'm not staying home because of this assault and neither should anyone else. It is not surprising that an incident of this nature happened at Capital VIP, as that is the kind of clientele they caters to. Just avoid Capital VIP and places like it and you too can enjoy Raleigh's nightlife.

I agree that you can't go out and enjoy yourself in nightclubs anymore. Sometimes criminals pay extra just to get in packing heat smh. Nowadays it's best to listen to your favorite cds at home get strobe lights, liquor and dance the night away!!!

ladyfabolousbreathe - if he is as innocent as u say then the victim should be able to clear things up real soon (if he is able to talk)

It amazes me how they can just stereotype certain people.North Carolina laws are so dumb, here's a man that was just celebrating his birthday and end up in jail. A innocent man that was near the incident when it occurred automatically gets blame, and it's basically because he had on white jeans with specks of blood.I really wish something could be done this man has no record his has children and a full time job , but yet he's been sitting in jail since Saturday morning with a half million dollar bail? Justice needs to be serve it really does, these nightclubs have poor security to let someone walk in the club with a weapons. It has nothing to do with banded knifes or alcohol ,knifes could be a good defense tool especially if your life is really in danger and alcohol is not all that bad it's just how you use it. I really hope they catch the right person who did this and release this innocent man.

They need to do something about all these stabbings. I propose legislation to make it more difficult to purchase a knife. There are way too many knives in the country.
