Raleigh man accused of trying to kill ex-girlfriend

— Garner police have charged a 22-year-old man in connection with the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend.

Police said they were called to the home of Guadalupe Garcia, on Woodland Drive, just before midnight on Monday and found her with stab wounds to her head and back. She was taken to the hospital and later released.

Police said Manuel Enrique Santana Jr., of the 4000 block of Alder Grove Lane in Raleigh, waited for Garcia to arrive home and attacked her.

He was charged with attempted murder, held on a $500,000 secured bond and ordered to have no contact with Garcia upon his release.

    He has serious issues and should get help for it. He thinks he can control women. His parents did not raise him properly. Women, young ladies should absolutely say away from this young man.
