Raleigh man accused of trafficking hydrocodone

— A Raleigh man faces charges for possessing and trafficking hydrocodone.

Daryll Kent Maynard, 52, is accused of lying to doctors to get prescriptions for the drug.

Maynard obtained more than 400 doses illegally over a two year period, according to an arrest warrant.

He was being held Saturday in the Wake Count Jail under a $600,000 bond.

    little tyrants get punished while the big tyrants get impunity. The addict doesn't get treatment he needs, the manufacturer of the addictive substance gets a tax break, the law enforcement is distracted from its real job of protecting the public, and the true criminals are drinking martinis watching the sun set. Huge failure of our system.
