Raleigh man accused of leaving baby in car alone

— A Raleigh father is accused of leaving his baby alone in a car while he was shoplifting.

Frederick Jermaine Pullen Jr., 35, of 626 Ralph Drive, was charged with larceny and child abuse.

According to the arrest warrant, Pullen left his 9-month-old daughter in the car for 15 minutes while he went inside a Walmart to steal two pairs of women's pants.

Pullen was being held Sunday in the Wake County jail under a $2,500 bond. His first court appearance was set for Monday.

    He had to steal and left the baby in the car alone. He needs to spend some jail time for a long while and the baby should be placed in a foster home.

    And people don't like my idea of forced sterilization.

    This guy is a prime candidate, as well as the mother of the child.

    I'm sure glad my tax dollars are going to pay for his stupidity.

    WOW....now that's what I call a DEAD BEAT DAD!!! I can't stand to see a child left in the car for someone to run into a gas station to pay for gas....much less go in Wal-Mart to steal something!! UGH!! I'm glad they caught him. There's no telling where else he has left this poor child!!

    Ouch, bad reminder. I once left my quietly sleeping baby daughter in her carseat while going into a store to BUY something and did't remember she was in the vehicle until I got in the store. Stuff happens.
    She is now in her 20's. Back then it was a mistake, now it is a felony.
