I just dont understand how a family man could do something so horrible to his own seed.#so ashamed

Airborne, what I meant about teens is they have been known to make up things to get their way. No, you are right, there is no excuse for burning a child no matter what they have done. Only a conservative would do that.

I hope this man doesn't have any pets!

Bail is to insure court appearance

Yeah and people don't skip bail now do they? So it doesn't "insure" anything.

I wonder what the boys chances are for becoming a fine, productive member of society?

It doesn't seem like the first 13 years of his life have given him any examples of that.

I wonder if WRAL will give info on how to help him? I would be first in line!!

Punishment for all violent crimes should be the same thing you do to someone else should be the same punishment administered to you receive. NO QUESTION ASKED!!

    1. This is such a short article that I am left with so many questions! Hopefully, WRAL will run additional news articles with more information.
    2. Agree with all the comments about "Obedient Lane" being ironic.
    3. Wondering where the mom is? I'm thinking this isn't the first time this child has suffered at the hands of his father. He has probably been beaten since he was a toddler.
    4. This guy will get jail time and probably will (like another person commented) suffer at the hands of his prison mates! Can't say that upsets me. He might even be set on fire in his cell someday.....

what kind of horrible person would do this to any living creature, much less his own child?! I hope this poor kid gets the help he needs...including getting him far, far away from his awful family

I find the name of his street ironic, prayers for the child who was burned.
