Posted February 28, 2013

— Raleigh police have arrested a man accused of breaking into a church near his home.

Devon Hassan Glasgow, 21, of 921-B S. Blount St., faces charges of breaking and entering a place of worship and larceny after breaking and entering after, police say, he broke into Zion Church, at 924 S. Blount St., on Jan. 22.

According to a warrant for his arrest, Glasgow allegedly stole a DVD player, three flat-screen monitors, a computer CPU and other property worth $360.

He was jailed Thursday under a $5,000 bond.

I don't think he'll be getting a burial plot at that church!

Stealing from a church is not a taboo unless one is raised to respect things holy. He just saw an empty building and opportunity.

This kid is less of a threat than those who break into people's homes. this might get him involved with religion and change his life.

Is this the church that was making all the loud noise from the Bass?

That would be ironic and hilarious if he stole all of their sound equipment.
