Raleigh Little Theatre will offer a free outdoor movie series in its Stephenson Amphitheatre this summer, which I'm really excited about.

On four Sundays in July and August, the theater, along with Raleigh Brewing, will show the movies. Gates and a pre-show activity start at 7 p.m. The movie begins at 8 p.m. There's something here for everybody. Here's the schedule:

July 19: Charlotte’s Web (G) with a pet adoption event with Second Chance Pet Adoptions
July 26: A Streetcar Named Desire (PG) with classic movie trivia with Team Trivia
Aug. 2: Into the Woods (PG) with a scavenger hunt with Live It Up Hillsborough
Aug. 9: Monty Python and the Holy Grail (PG) with audience participation practice with RLT

Rain dates are set for Aug. 16 and Aug. 23.

Moviegoers are welcome to bring picnics. Concessions are available for purchase. Blankets or chairs also are recommended. The amphitheater has concrete benches with grass between them where you can set up a chair. There also will be indoor restrooms available, along with port-a-potties.
