Raleigh Little Theatre brings 'Frog and Toad' to life
Raleigh Little Theatre will kick off this season's youth series next month with "A Year with Frog and Toad."

The jazzy musical, which is based on the books by Arnold Lobel, has a cast of mostly young people, Charles Phaneuf, the community theater's executive director tells me. Performances run Nov. 6 to Nov. 22 in the Gaddy-Goodwin Teaching Theatre, which is near Raleigh's Cameron Village. This will be the Triangle premiere for the play.
The theater is an intimate space. And plans call for the audience to feel like they are part of the story.
"The set design will let the audience feel like they are under the leaves and reeds with Frog and Toad. The action will be in and around the audience which will be in the round,” said Sue Scarborough, the director, in a press release.
Tickets for all events at RLT can be purchased by calling the box office at 919-821-3111, Monday through Friday, noon to 5:00 p.m., or going to the theater's website. Tickets are $17 for adults and $11 for kids 12 and under. I have always been so impressed with everything I've seen at Raleigh Little Theatre! This one should be fun!
The youth series also includes "Miss Nelson is Missing" in March and "Charlotte's Web" in April. "Cinderella," the theater's very popular holiday show, starts Dec. 4.
