Raleigh house fire displaces family of three

A man, his fiancee and his daughter were displaced early Sunday after their rental house at 3713 Blue Blossom Drive caught fire, according to Raleigh Fire Investigator Adam Perry.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man, his fiancee and his daughter were displaced early Sunday after their rental house at 3713 Blue Blossom Drive caught fire, according to Raleigh Fire Investigator Adam Perry.

The blaze began in the garage just before 1:45 a.m., and it appeared to be accidental, officials said. Crews got the fire under control by 2:30 a.m.

Carl Jones, his fiancee and his daughter were sleeping at the time. A smoke detector alerted them to the fire, authorities said.
