Which goes first -- trash or snow from Raleigh curbs?

Crews began pickup Thursday afternoon and played catch-up throughout the day Friday and Saturday. They will work through Sunday, weather permitting, in an attempt to get back on track for Monday morning.

Battle said workers from the city's public works, public utilities and parks and recreation departments were assisting his department to collect trash and recyclables so a normal schedule can resume Monday.

The city says it will not issue any fines until garbage collection returns to a normal schedule.

Yard waste collection is suspended until March 3.
