Raleigh couple safe after fire damages home

A husband and wife were safe early Saturday after a fire damaged their north Raleigh home at 1000 Streeter Lane, off Honeycutt Road.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A husband and wife were safe early Saturday after a fire damaged their north Raleigh home at 1000 Streeter Lane, off Honeycutt Road.

Multiple fire departments responded to the blaze, which started at about 4 a.m. and took about an hour to extinguish.

The couple's garage, bonus room and a vehicle outside the garage were all heavily damaged. The Wake County Fire Marshall is investigating what caused the fire.
