RALEIGH, N.C. — Brewery Bhavana was named one of the top 10 best new restaurants in the country according to Bon Appetit.
The downtown Raleigh brewery, flower shop, book store and dim sum restaurant caught the attention of the magazine and website, which hailed its "bright, light and cheery" vibe. Brewery Bhavana was 10th on the list, following restaurants in St. Louis, Brooklyn, Philadelphia and San Francisco.
Brewery Bhavana was previously named among Bon Appetit's top 50 finalists for best new restaurant in the country. The top 10 list was announced Tuesday.
Bon Appetit is also a fan of Bhavana's beer, urging people to order it "even if you don't normally drink beer - it's that good."
Siblings Vanvisa and Vansana Nolintha teamed up with brewer Patrick Woodson to open the venture at 218 S. Blount St. at the end of March. The restaurant is located next to the Nolintha's award-winning Laotian restaurant, Bida Manda.
