RALEIGH, N.C. — The three-story Raleigh Beer Garden opened Tuesday in Glenwood South boasts 366 individual taps of beer, rooftop deck, patio seating and some pretty impressive trees inside.

The largest tree sits in the front room by the cocktail bar. The large tree was cut into pieces a few months ago. It was reassembled using metal rods.

The bar countertops were made from oak trees that were on the property where the restaurant and bar now resides.

The first level houses 144 taps of North Carolina beers. There is indoor seating, as well as an expansive patio outside. Make sure to check out the cocktail bar with the "Spiritual" mural behind it. The library ladder lets bartenders climb to the top for "top shelf" brands.

Upstairs, there is another bar with 222 beers from around the world on tap, as well as seating. Sitting up here will give you the best view of the front room's giant tree, whose branches extend to the ceiling.

You can up with what's on tap at Raleigh Beer Garden through video screens updated in real-time. Or through the company's website.

While on the second floor, make sure to check out the Nitrous tanks on the wall. The system allows some of the stouts to be served through a Nitro tap, which helps make the beer taste smoother or creamier.

The rooftop features a bar, lots of outdoor seating and a garden of herbs, which are used in specialty cocktails.

And if you get hungry, Raleigh Beer Garden also offers a full kitchen open 11 a.m. until closing. The menu features everything that typically goes well with beer - wings, pizza, sandwiches and burgers.

Raleigh Beer Garden is the latest venture from Niall Hanley and video game developer Cliff "CliffyB" Bleszinki. The two are also partners on The Station on Person Street.
Hanley also owns the Irish pub Hibernian, which has three locations, and the nightclub Solas.
