Raleigh beauty store helps color the world
Color The World can be found near Lily's Pizza on Glenwood Ave.
Posted — Updated"We wanted to create a company that donates a large percentage of the proceeds to charities around the world," Stephen Miltz said, who founded the business with his brother, Wayne, and wife, Stephanie.
Color The World is truly a metaphor for what they are doing.
“We’re trying to create a movement,” Wayne Miltz said.
Color The World donates about 30 percent of all profits among 12 charities each quarter, including the Alzheimer’s Association, Forever Home Rescue Foundation and Make A Wish Foundation. Five dollars from each lipstick purchase goes to its designated charity. Each lipstick supports a different cause.
The lipsticks have a creamy, moisturizing feel with a semi-matte finish. There are a wide range of lipstick shades: from earthy-tone neutrals to classic reds to berry wines. There are plans for more shades available this fall and winter.
Currently, the company only offer lipsticks online, but in-store, customers can find a wide range of scented bath bombs ($6.90), aluminum-free deodorants ($13.90), and lipsticks ($19), which are made on-site. All products are cruelty-free, natural and vegan.
