Raleigh bank robbed at gunpoint

Raleigh police are searching for the man who robbed Wachovia bank, 6623 Falls of Neuse Road, shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are searching for the man who robbed Wachovia bank, 6623 Falls of Neuse Road, shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities said the suspect robbed the bank at gunpoint and was last seen fleeing on foot.

The suspect was described as a black man, about 5-foot-8 with a slender build. He was wearing a blue or gray hooded jacket, dark-colored pants and Timberland boots. The man wore a mask over his face.
