Raleigh attempted robbery ends with shooting

— Raleigh police on Tuesday were investigating an attempted robbery that ended with a shooting late Monday.

Officers said someone attacked a man as he left a friend's apartment at 5900 Timber Creek Lane at the Timber Creek Apartment complex.

Crews took the victim to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

    Well they haven't found the guy and I live at that complex. I heard a bang about 11 pm but didn't think much of it as it's next to a couple busy streets and there's all sorts of noise going on. Next thing you know, there's 14 police cars in the parking lot and they're marking off the crime scene between 2 of the buildings. So that guy is still on the loose. Kinda scary being that my next door neighbor had just got home and was moving some things into his apartment about the same time I heard the bang.
