Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh app company wants to guide travelers to their destination and help teen cancer patients at the same time.
The app, which is designed to connect consumers to events, merchants and activities along their routes, showcases a public service announcement every time a First Citizens Bank, the key sponsor in North Carolina for Teen Cancer America, is along a driver’s route.
As part of the campaign, Daltrey recorded a new version of his classic song “Let My Love Open the Door.” Through Yillio, users are reminded to visit the campaign’s website, where they can download the song and benefit the nonprofit.
The charity provides specialized units in hospitals to specifically help teenagers who have cancer.
