Rainy weather forces Durham, Apex parks to cancel Saturday plans
WRAL is forecasting some stormy weather on Saturday. Be sure to keep an eye on the skies and the forecast if you are planning outdoor activities. Two local parks departments already have been forced to change plans.
Posted — UpdatedAlso, Durham has postponed its plans at Lake Michie on Saturday because of the weather. The Lake Grand Opening Celebration, planned for Saturday, is now 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday. The free event includes paddle sports, games and prizes. Refreshments will be served.
The Go Fish program, where the public can learn about fishing techniques, identification and other angling information, has been moved to 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., April 6. The cost is $5 to $11. Pre-registration is required for the fishing activity.

UPDATE: The N.C. Museum of History's Cedars in the Pines Festival planned for Saturday also has been postponed.
