Rain moves out, sun moves in for Sunday

Raleigh, N.C. — Rain will continue to move out of central and eastern North Carolina Saturday afternoon, allowing for more pleasant conditions for the last half of the day and the final day of the weekend.
Clouds will linger across the area until the evening hours as high temperatures struggle to reach the mid-40s.
Bright sunshine will return on the final day of the weekend, and high temperatures will climb back into the mid-50s, slightly above normal for late January.
"Another low pressure could sweep through the area late Sunday night and Monday, giving us another chance of rain," WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss said.
Once the early-week showers clear out, colder air will arrive for several days. Highs will be in the low 40s Tuesday through Friday, and overnight lows will be in the low-to mid-20s throughout the bulk of the work week.
