Raleigh, N.C. — Warmer temperatures are coming this week – but not right away.
"We likely won't see the 70s until later this week," WRAL meteorologist Aimee Wilmoth said.
Temperatures will remain in the 60s under partly cloudy skies on Monday and Tuesday.
A system currently bringing severe weather to Texas is expected to reach the Triangle on Wednesday.
"Not likely severe weather for us," Wilmoth said. Luckily for us it'll just bring rain. It could bring some heavy rain so we could have some flooding to contend with."
Rain on Wednesday and Thursday will turn into sun and warmer weather for Friday and the weekend as temperatures are expected to reach towards the 80s.
