ERWIN, N.C. — Erwin police have charged a Raeford woman with fraud after she allegedly used a man's debit card number at least three times at the post office.

Evelyn Miguelina Lopez, 39, a nurse's assistant at Health Keepers, faces seven felony counts of obtaining property by false pretense, one count of financial card theft and one count of exploitation of a disabled or elderly person. She was arrested Wednesday.

It wasn't clear whether investigators believe she obtained the victim's debit card number through her employer, but the 57-year-old man told police that his debit card hadn't been stolen and that he never made online purchases.

He reported three unauthorized uses of his card number at the Erwin Post Office totaling more than $1,100.
