Raeford man killed in collision with Bragg military vehicle
A Raeford man died Wednesday when the car he was riding in struck an armored military vehicle on Fort Bragg, authorities said Thursday.
Posted — UpdatedThe car was eastbound on Chicken Road on post at about 5 p.m. when it hit a Caiman Mine-Resistant, Ambush-Protected vehicle as it was entering the roadway from the post’s Range 52, authorities said.
Army medics on the scene provided immediate medical assistance, authorities said. A second person in the car was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment of injuries that weren't life-threatening.
The names of the people involved haven't been released.
Fort Bragg military police and special agents from the Army Criminal Investigation Command are investigating the crash.
