Raeford infant sustains severe facial injuries after dog bite

— A Hoke County infant sustained severe injuries to the face following a dog bite.

The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the 100 block of Falling Leaf Drive in Raeford on Wednesday.

The baby was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and the dog is in the possession of Hoke County Animal Control.

An investigation is ongoing.

    German Shepard, only Rottweiler and Pit Bulls are worse. There is a reason they are used as police dogs. Sadly, with shepard, it is a hearding dog so children that get hurt because they misinterpret when the dog was trying to nip at them to move them safely.
